The little Slenja creek waterfall can be seen from route 953 right at the border between the regions Mjóafjarðarheiði and Mjóafjarðarhreppur in Eastern Region of Iceland and the area belongs to the Fjarðabyggð municipality. The big mountain is called Slenjufjall.
Gufu Waterfall is right by the highway 93, the Vesturvegur, near the town of Seyðisfjörður. It is one of many Icelandic filming locations of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty". It can be seen from the road, as Walter skates down the hill . . Check it out here . . .
