Sólheimajökull is a glacier in southern Iceland, between the volcanoes Katla and Eyjafjallajökull. It is an outlet glacier of the larger Mýrdalsjökull ice cap which lies atop the Katla caldera near the town of Vík í Mýrdal
A few sun rays found their way through the thick cloud cover and put some light on the hills across the Sólheimajökull Glacier tounge and the Jökulsá glacial river.
