Breiðdalsàfoss waterfall along Vattarnesvegur (road 955) in East Iceland. Road 955 (Vattarnesvegur) is a very scenic journey located around the Vattarnes peninsula, in the Eastern Region of Iceland. The road is mostly unpaved and can sometimes be a little rough. It’s 48.3 km long and links the villages of Reyðarfjörður and Fáskrúðsfjörður. The little-used coastal road is gravel but suitable for normal cars. It runs along the south side of Reyðarfjörður fjord and around the Vattarnes peninsula. It offers great views to the hollow cliff island of Skrúður.
