A creative fusion of light, water, fire, and special effects is used in the fountain at the Katara Amphitheater to brighten this public area in a distinctive and interesting way. The audience is treated to an exciting spectacle by the fountains, which may reach heights of up to 10 meters and include lit water jets. The fountain in the amphitheater is intended to acknowledge the Qatari people since it is a public space. As Katara offers theaters, concert halls, exhibition galleries, and cutting-edge facilities, people congregate at this location to enjoy the various cultures around them. This makes Katara a leader in multi-cultural events.
"The Force of Nature II" is a series of sculptures by Italian artist Lorenzo Quinn depicting mother nature as a woman hurling the planet around in circles. The sculpture is very symbolic that seeks to remind humans living "with a false sense of security" of the power of nature, and that she could awaken to fury at any moment. It was installed at the Amphitheater in Katara Cultural Village in October 2011
